How much do VIP Tours at Walt Disney World cost and what’s included?

Imagine walking onto any ride at Walt Disney World Resort® (WDW) and riding as many times as you wish, whilst your personal Disney Guide escorts you around the Parks in the most efficient way and shares their extensive knowledge with you. Sounds pretty magical, doesn’t it? Well, you can do just that by booking a VIP Tour at WDW.   

Unsurprisingly, the VIP Tour is expensive! However, with the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass – also very expensive – regularly selling out, we wanted to share the details of this fabulous (but costly) service so you can decide if it is a viable option for you. 

Price 

Okay, brace yourself! The cost of a Disney VIP Tour Guide is between $450 and $900 per hour (busier times of year are more expensive), with a minimum duration of seven hours and a maximum of ten. Up to ten guests are included, and infants count towards that number. 

In addition, you are expected to tip (standard in the US); the amount is at your discretion, but allow an average of 10%-20% of the total Tour cost (or the equivalent of one hour of the tour price), so you will need to factor that in.  

The Tour costs exclude your Park admission, so everyone in your group will need a valid ticket and, if you are planning to visit multiple Parks, you’ll also need Park hopping tickets (most tickets purchased in the UK and Eire include this as standard but please do check yours offer this).    

You will also have to pay for any food or drink you consume on the day (you can take your own), though you will be entitled to unlimited water. You’ll receive a choice of one complimentary snack on arrival at your first Park.  

We’ll explain why you might consider this as an alternative to the Lightning Lane Premium Pass later.

What’s included in the service 

• You decide the itinerary. Simply share a list of rides and attractions you would like to visit with your Tour Guide, and they will do the rest. Your Guide will create a route around the Parks that will make the best use of your time and ensure you visit and experience everything you want to.   
• You can visit multiple Parks and will be granted exclusive behind-the-scenes access for seamless Park-hopping and transport to move you between Parks. 
• If you wish, you can choose to ride a favourite ride repeatedly.  
• Ten people are included per Guide; if your group exceeds this number, you will need to pay for a second Guide. 
• You specify the start time and can choose to have the Guide pick you up from your accommodation and this includes hotels not on Disney property.
• You are entitled to access exclusive VIP viewing areas if you choose to include parades, (select) stage shows, and firework spectaculars in your itinerary. 
• Your VIP Tour Guide will be a fount of knowledge, and their insight and expertise will greatly enhance your day. They can even book coveted dining reservations for you – a great way to end your Tour! 

Nice to knows 

• You only need to go through security and the tapstiles once, at your first Park. After that, you will be met by someone who will scan your MagicMobile passes or Magicbands at each subsequent Park. 
• You won’t skip the queues entirely. Instead, you will access rides via the Lightning Lanes, which will still be much faster. 
• When you are backstage, you can’t take any photos or videos. 
• You can tweak the itinerary on the day to include other rides and attractions, or to ride more than once. 
• You can also add extra time on the day if you have opted for less than the maximum of ten hours. You will be charged the hourly rate and can arrange this with your Tour Guide. 
• Riding a lot of attractions in a short period of time can be intense and, if you are prone to motion sickness, you might want to carefully consider how many thrill rides you plan back-to-back, especially after eating.    
• The Guides are bound by the rules of the Parks, but they will work as much magic for you as possible. 
• Unfortunately, the VIP Tour does not include a tour of the Cinderella Castle Suite and neither does it enable you to skip to the front of Character meet-and-greet queues, as none of them offer Lightning Lane access options. 
• If you have children in your group, check the height requirements for the rides on your list in advance so you can plan where and when you will need to use Rider-Switch. Your Guide may or may not stay with younger children whilst you ride – it will largely depend on the relationship you have built and how comfortable your child feels to be left with them. 
• Rather than having the Guide pick you up from your accommodation, which we feel might be a waste of valuable time, arrange to meet them at the entrance to your first ride or after you have enjoyed breakfast in your first Park, so everyone is fuelled up and ready for the day.  
• Plan to have a quick-service lunch using Mobile Order so you don’t waste time sitting in a restaurant over a big meal – unless, of course, that is what you want to do. But if you are going on lots of rides after lunch, you may not want to have a heavy meal beforehand!  
• Anytime you are ready for a break in the air conditioning and a snack, your Guide will know the best places to go.  
• Wear matching shirts so your group can be easily identified. 
• You can leave any bags in the Park-hopping vehicle until you reach your final Park. 
• Tips are commonly given in cash. 

Why consider a VIP Tour as an alternative to the Lightning Lane Premier Pass (LLPP)? 

• Only one Park is included with LLPP. Magic Kingdom® is the most expensive, costing up to $449 per person plus tax at peak times.  
• You can only ride an attraction once. 
• There are no reserved areas for parades, stage shows, or fireworks. 
• You won’t see behind the scenes or benefit from a Guide’s knowledge of the Parks’ history, their dining reservation abilities, their fun facts or their hints on where to spot hidden Mickeys. 
• NEW From August 13^th 2025, guests staying at a Deluxe Resort hotel and VIP Tour guests will be able to book the Disney Minnie Van Service to travel to and from Orlando International Airport. Pricing is set at $199 each way or $398 for a round trip. Each Minnie Van can accommodate up to six guests and includes two car seats. Consider what is best for your group. If you would prefer to take your time and explore a Park at your leisure, knowing you can access the available Lightning Lanes as and when you want, then the Lightning Lane Premier Pass is the way to go. 

If you are short on time and want to experience as much as you can as quickly as possible with the expertise of a knowledgeable Guide, then select the VIP Tour. 

How to book your Disney VIP Tour 

If you’ve used a travel agent to book your trip, check if they can do this for you, are familiar with how to do it and understand what is included! 

Alternatively, you can book yourself anytime from 60 days before your arrival by calling Disney Signature Services from the UK: 0800 028 0778 or from Eire: 1800 812 678. Disney has plenty of Guides, even though they say VIP Tour availability is limited, but we would still recommend booking early if you are visiting at a busy time of year. 

You must provide a credit card to secure the reservation, and payment will be taken 24 hours before the Tour. 

Once booked, you will receive an email confirmation, detailing your reservation and the cancellation policy. This policy allows you to cancel up to 72 hours in advance with no penalty. If you cancel within that window, you have to pay the equivalent of two hours. 

You will then liaise with Signature Services, providing them with a list of guests who will be attending, the attractions and Parks you would like to experience, places you would like to eat, and where you would like to meet your Guide. You can fine-tune this further as you go along.
